    Arcadia Capital & Arcadia Motion Pictures   

    ARCADIA MOTION PICTURES (AMP) was founded by IBON CORMENZANA in 2005 with the aim of producing quality feature films with new European creative talent, a top cast and international potential. In addition, Arcadia Motion Pictures is a pioneer in structuring new private sources of funding, both national and international, for its projects. In 2008, it created Arcadia Capital in order to promote private investment in audiovisual productions via Spanish tax breaks. Over these ten years, Arcadia has become one of the leading production companies in Spain and is also known for its international co-productions.

    The company’s most recent movies include “Aloft”, by Claudia Llosa (Winner of a Golden Bear and Oscar nominee for “The Milk of Sorrow”), starring Jennifer Connelly, Cillian Murphy and Mélanie Laurent.“Aloft” has participated in the Official Section of Berlinale 2014, the Sundance Film Festival and the Tribeca Festival in 2015.

    Besides, the Spanish-French coproduction “Blancanieves” which among other distinctions, it won 10 Goya awards in 2013 and the Ariel award for Best Latin American Film in 2013, as well the Concha de Plata award for Best Actress in a Leading Role and the Special Jury award at the San Sebastian Film Festival. The film was the official Spanish selection for Best Foreign Film in the 2013 Oscars and was nominated at the 2014 Cesar awards for Best Foreign Film.

    AMP also produced “Blackthorn”, directed by Mateo Gil and starring Sam Shepard, Eduardo Noriega and Stephen Rea, which was presented at the Tribeca Film Festival and won four Goya awards and “No rest for the wicked” by Enrique Urbizu starring José Coronado, which was presented at the San Sebastian Film Festival and won six Goya award. In 2015 “Oliver’s deal” was released staring Stephen Dorff, Alberto Ammann, Carlos Bardem and Davd Strathairn.

    This year AMP has released the film “Rumbos”, by Manuela Burló Moreno, in coproduction with Atresmedia and distributed in Spain by Sony and “Quatretondeta” which is Pol Rodriguez’s  opera prima.

    Arcadia produced Mateo Gil's second film “Project Lazarus”, written and directed by himsel and starring Tom Hughes, Charlotte le Bon, Oona Chaplin and Barry Ward which will be released in 2017 by Filmax.

    Also this year AMP is producing Pablo Berger’s  next film “Abracadabra” starring Maribel Verdú, Antonio de la Torre, José Mota, Quim Gutiérrez y  Jose María Pou.
